Toffee Attempt

So a few days ago I took the opportunity to make toffee for the first time.

Its a nice experience but while reading a few recipes and following a hybrid of two due to one being spammy on my phone for some odd reason, it seemed to turn out pretty nice. I added choco chips and  did a lil swirl  design with them.  Because there was a layer of unmixed clear layer of butter on top, I thought I had to keep it on the stove longer thus giving the toffee a darker color with a slight burn kinda taste when it cooled. -crais inside-

And instead of  using a baking pan like advised, I had used a glass pie pan. Fortunately enough it all fit with room to spare in the pan.  after topping it with chocolate, the toffee was left alone to chill on the island, and when cool enough, placed in the fridge over night to keep safe.

Cue the next day and  I checked it out to see…that the butter layer decided to stick around and caused a cloudy layer over parts of the toffee. I scrapped as much as I could off it then took the next ten minutes breaking the toffee out of the glass pie pan. ; v ;

I showed my sis, who is a better dessert cook than I, and she said that it wasn’t mixed properly but I still did a pretty decent job on making the toffee in general.

I will give this toffee making another try, but half the recipe, cus we limited and 1 cup of butter is alot atm

The Great Beginning!

Hello and welcome!

My [nick]name is Tay Kudo.  I started this blog because I found recently over the past two months of an inner passion to make yummy foods and be somewhat of a mini daredevil on following recipes that I may find or create from scratch.

I had shown some people of the results of the creations and it makes me happy to know that there are others that are in love with food.  So, here we are now.  I pray that others  outside of my little circle find interest in the foods that I make/recreate.

And no worries! I will give a list of what I used and how it was done so if anyone is interested in making it as well they can do so with no problems~! Also! If anyone has ideas or questions about foods, don’t hesitate to send me an email or comment~

As a college student, I am, sadly, limited on funds, so if anyone is able to donate to my  ko-fi that would be wonderful! In the days/weeks to come, I plan to have a Patron up to help the food blogging/creating.
